Company "northern oil" is formed in Usinske on 17 March, 1994.


It works in the northeastern part of the Timan-Pechora oil and gas-bearing province, in the territory of the republic of the Komi and Nenetz autonomous area of the Arkhangyelsk province.


It is occupied outputs, by processing and transport of oil, by reconnaissance and by the additional reconnaissance of the reserves of hydrocarbon raw material, by boring, by the underground and innovation repair of bore holes.

"northern oil" manages licenses for the development of 15 petroleum deposits with a total volume of the extracted reserves of more than 120 million tons.

Its basic tasks are search and prospecting the layers of hydrocarbons, oil production and gas, processing raw material, realization of oil, gas and products of petroleum refining in Russia and beyond its limits. This is one of the basic tools of state in the regulation of the work of Russian TEK.

JOINT STOCK COMPANY "NK" To rosneft' "governs more than 40 daughterly subdivisions in 19 regions of the country. In 2001 the company obtained 1 mln. tons of oil, in 2002 - 1 million. 400 thousand, in 2003 - 2 millions. 270 thousand tons of oil, which to 54% is greater than in previous. In 2004 more than 3 millions are obtained. 400 thousand tons, and in 2005 it is planned to obtain 4 millions. 780 thousand tons. Yearly increase within limits of 50 % remains.

In the relations with RK and NAO "northern oil" invariably adheres to the principles of social partnership and minimization of damage to natural environment from its production activity. Company masters extensive northern territories, ensures 3400 people, majority of whom lives in the region of its activity, with work, it progressively taxable base, a number of the socially significant projects is supported.
