Haven't been paying a whole lot of attention lately, but just noticed a share buyback program announced. What does this mean? I searched the board but can't find anything, sorry if it has already been explained. My question mainly is: if the company buys back the shares does that mean they come off the number of outstanding shares? That is what I assumed because the talk is of raising shareholder value but I don't know for sure. TIA.
