Yes ,you most certainly did have a devastating summer with all the wild fires ,hot winds and dry conditions. I could not live under those conditions,I love the cold weather, at least you can dress for it.....I have 2 major regrets with my life and 1 of them is that I never got to do any serious prospecting, where I could just live the life of the 99ers for an entire summer,the other is that I never got any offshore experience in the oilfield even though I spent 34 years in that business and had many offers and opportunities....just seemed like something always got in the way or took priority....I would love to help you out but I am getting a little to old and have some serious health issues....I have heard of some folks working old claims in the Dawson Creek and Prince George areas and a little deeper into the northwest from those 2 towns....now those are very easy areas to access in the summer or even in the winter months if you were to get a claim with year round water....I don't know how true some of the stories are, but I do hear things from time to time about some nice things from there.....I am sure there is an extreme amount of work to be done in order to find much when you are on old claims in easy accessable areas.....more and more people are starting to think about striking it rich now that the price is up over $1500....we are going to have to hook up one of these times I am in Vegas....I really don't know when i am going again as I am waiting on a surgeon to do another operation on my leg...he has been in Afghanistan and supposed to be back on Fri, but don't know when he will get to mine.....I was actually schedualled to go to Vegas on Nov30 to Dec03 but I doubt it....I will let you know as soon as I do and we can meet......GLTY
