that's not true at all. people like my former boss who called me and asked what broker i use have no qualms about throwing down 10k on something they get a "hot tip" on.

he wanted to buy some pump from motley fool. on a complete whim. without any research.

there are countless "investors" JUST LIKE THIS pouring into blockbuster without any knowledge.
