I hear you! The workers get A great wage at the mines. But family life can be hard.Im after my retirement on A moter sailer and living in the mountains in A log cabin. smile. We are on the same side. Im just glad to invest now and not be working A 12 rotating shift and riding A bus to work 1.5 hrs to and from. LOL. It was A great job. I loved the adventure of A plant break down or shut down and start up. power outs and being left alone to run the plant as best I can in te middle of the night while the big wigs are gone made it for me. As A operator you are always in compition with the others that do your job whn your not there. Its all about production and recovery. Beeing the best at this job is sublime. When you lose power on A plant things settle out inside tanks, Stired muds like to settle and you have problems starting things back up. Every one jumps to there posts and follows orders by radio. So you learn to run to the emergencey generator. LOL also things over flow and make A mess. The plants are full of tanks that each have A different pourpose. They are all concrete contained to retain the over flows. But LOL Clean up with A fire hoes is the usual. Some love this job. Tough and fun with hard hours and running A plant by computer. Great fun. I loved it then but dont miss it now. LOL

It took me to long to realize I was A procrastinator.
