here we are at rope again..fine..stronger rope...big deal...that aint where the money is..

and women dont wear stockings anymore..silk or otherwise..and they sure dont wear girdles for crying out loud...cycling pants?..leotards?..this is the revolutionization of the garment industry i have been hearing about all this time?..

"Sutures that are twice as strong means that they can be thinner and more quickly absorbed by the body"

i wasnt aware that speedy sutures were needed..

"With spider silk for the reinforcing fiber they will be just as strong, but impact resistant.
Boats will bounce off of rocks that used to shatter them"

well thats the dream allright...but i hope no one takes that comment seriously..

"Car bodies will need fewer repairs"

there will be just as many repairs...they may not be as extensive but i guarantee you they will be more costly...

"Even air bag active crash restraints will improve. Lighter weight will mean faster deployment"

faster deployment is not what they are after...they are fast enough now...they can already make them faster if they want...they dont want...

"and the smooth stretch of spider silk will cause fewer air bag induced lacerations"

people get scratched up a bit sometimes with airbag deployments but i doubt that will change much with spider silk..after all, there is an accident involved with the air bag deployment...

skate boards and tents??..come on...
