Hello futr,

A little more on the black silicon licensing. Tom said the agreement papers are at the lawyers now for approval.

During their trip to Italy, Provini, Dr. Flood, and Dr. Barron explained everything Natcore has to offer to 3 panel assembly manufacturers and MX Solar. These four companies have comitted 3 million euros each to manufacturing their own solar cells for use in their panels. Tom said the plant for cell production is already existing. IMO, the Italian government involvement is probably tax incentives. Tom did not know what the government's role is.

Natcore's trio were introduced to Ferrania Solis(FS) by MX Solar. Tom said that Chuck speaks some Italian, which went over well. It's good to see that FS is interested enough to come to the U.S. next week already. FS's interest may lead to roll-to-roll funding. Their interest may also nudge Kodak to commit to funding. It appears to me that Natcore is anxious to accelerate their research and development as long as they can get funding on their terms. It's also interesting that SF's visit coincides with Natcore's meeting with the Rochester Economic Development Committee.

Natcore is very confident they will have tandem cell products. They feel that proving the black silicon/passivation and wafer AR-coating processes will make potential partners more confident.

Tom said that the tandem cell research at Rice U. is full time now that school is back in session.

Congradulations to Dr. Barron for being named a finalist for a World Technology Award. Next, a Nobel Prize for the tandem solar cell?

Best,

JB
