Karma Strikes: Amphastar Might Go Bankrupt Before it is Able to Infringe on MNTA's Patents :) (subtext, don't stalk FDA Leadership)

1) THURSDAY, Sept. 22 (HealthDay News) -- Over-the-counter asthma inhalers containing chloroflouorocarbons (CFCs), which can damage the ozone layer, will not be made or sold after Dec. 31, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday.

The sole product affected is Primatene Mist, marketed by Armstrong Pharmaceutical Inc., because it is the only inhaler approved by the FDA to be sold without a prescription for the relief of occasional symptoms of mild asthma.

2) Armstrong Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was founded in 1955 as a manufacturer of specialty aerosol products. Armstrong produced a wide array of topical, personal care, and pharmaceutical products.
Since 1993, Armstrong has focused exclusively on pharmaceutical products, primarily in the area of inhaled respiratory drugs that are delivered by Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs).

On October 9, 2003, Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty and generic pharmaceutical company, acquired Armstrong.
