I have some emails out trying to figure this out. One of his former execs just emailed back he was the "vp of marketing at Ram Mobile Data, which BellSouth purchased." This was spun off as a baby bell during the United States v. AT&T, the U.S. Department of Justice antitrust suit against the former American Telephone & Telegraph Company. This became US West. All of this follows his resume on LinkedIn. US West merged with Qwest a few months before his departure so I am still working on understanding what it is he founded. I think they are saying it is Qwest but it was actually US West.
I will have more later today.
