I would not rule your argument completly out, but the given
price-structure from Intel is well established throughout the
last years. So I will not say, that the x70 line is in high
demand, but parts are plenty available. We also know, that
Intels channel business increased by a huge margin over the
last 2 years, so my sentiment is, that Intels bins are not
as low as you suggested, otherwise we have to keep the overall
volume stucture in mind ... difficult topic.
I wrote these line, just because the hoped development on
the AMD side did not happened till today. The High-End Bins
from AMD are in VERY short supply. You just have to ask your-
self, whether this is HIGH Demand from the OEM's or bad supply
(bins) from AMD? Whats your guess? All I could see is that AMD
could have sold much much more 3800+ and 4000+ IF!!! they
would deliver. BTW: big distris don't list X2 yet - so volume
is VERY VERY low up to date.
