oilbaron (reply)....GULF looks good to me. Low float/Low P/E and starting to gain momentum and and volume today. Nice hot sector too (oil).
As for the pumper. There are certain posters who are notorious for finding low float cheap hot sector stocks, posting on them and then 10 minutes later, the volume and price explodes, after they post. A big run up that lasts 30 minutes and then fall back down (the dump). They front load the stock, post on it on several trading forums, and then dump into the 1 day (1 hour) run ups, leaving a lot of bag holders. Mass newsletters may also be sent out and/or boiler room tactics to unwitting investors, looking for a quick buck. That's why greed must be controlled.
I'd rather not mention any handles/names, but new investors/traders don't need that kind of BS/garbage in their lives. A new trader doesn't need to be burned in his/her initial exposure to the market. It leads to discouragement and a bad taste in your mouth.
Stay away from the garbage and stick with what is tried and reputable. Good Luck!
