I don't recall reading anything in the news about the latest Omnibus pkg bill (which will surely breeze through because the Conservatives have a majority).

However, that doesn't mean more legislation isn't on the way, the Conservatives are VERY serious about cracking down on crime, I am confident they will be enacting more legislation for white collar crime.

As of spring 2011, parole time for good behaviour is slowly going the way of the DoDo and I doubt any of these guys will ever see revolving door justice. With the Conservative government the emphasis is clear, they are going for DETERENCE not reformation.

Expect to see more jails and more people in them for longer stays.

I doubt house arrests will be handed out as often as in the past, the emphasis of the current government is on incarceration.
