You are confusing this with drug trials which must be objective, or perhaps a court trial where the judge or jury attempts to be the objective standard.
The automotive industry is a good example, but they occur in every industry that I can think of. Engines and other components are engineered in the lab, but they always have an over the road trial before they go into production. If these tests are not performed correctly a dud goes into the market, the company loses money, and the brand loses credibility.
The CareBot is going through extensive field trials so this does not happen. The launch will be successful IMO.
