I think someone mentioned this the other day, that Dave was working on Father's Day. they were correct. I had an inquiry for Dave based on a comment someone made about Indy 500 a while back and this was Dave's reply:
Dear Matt,
We took a pass on Indy for several reasons. First and foremost was cost; a
vender booth at Indy would have been outrageous (taking into consideration
shipping over 500 pieces with a tent and the entire setup, travel and misc.
expenses). Second was time off work; we accomplished a lot during this time
period (with respect to a deal). Some people wanted to "party" but I had
work to do. You tell me which one was more important. Don't get me wrong,
it would have been nice to relax but I have priorities and a week of parties
was not one. Bottom line, we didn't miss a heck of a lot with respect to
rubbing elbows. In fact, Bryan called me two days after the race to discuss
a business opportunity.
Of course others may think Indy would have been a great opportunity but they
don't know the intricacies of this business or the deal(s) I am working
on...do they? You can't please them all Matt!
Happy Father's Day!
Dave
