Mr. Peter Mannetti is a Managing Partner at iSherpa Capital, LLC. He joined the firm in 2001. With more than 20 years experience in telecommunications and electronics industries, his management experience includes international business development, marketing and product and sales management, and business planning. Mr. Mannetti previously co-founded and built Qwest Wireless from the ground up into a $1 billion company with over one million subscribers and in 1997 successfully introduced the Nation's only “One Number Service”, winning the 1999 Financial Times Global Award for Innovation In Network Design in Geneva, Switzerland. As the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, he won national and international awards for his leadership in developing innovative wireless products, including the Telecom 1999 Financial Times Global Telecoms Award for “Best Enhanced Use of Intelligent Network,” which was awarded for the deployment of the first totally IP-based wireless network. Under Mr. Mannetti’s leadership, the company was the first to integrate wireless voice and data functionality with wireline and home service, winning the first worldwide CDMA Developer Award for Wireless/Wireline Integration presented in Hong Kong in 2000. He led the firm’s successful deployment of the PCS Access Network, which culminated in a CDMA 2000 Industry Achievement Award for Infrastructure Product Innovation. This network incorporated the first multi-vendor integrated wireless/wireline architecture. Prior to joining Qwest, Mr. Mannetti was a Vice President at BellSouth Mobile Data and held various management positions during his 18-year tenure at General Electric. He sits on the Boards of TensorComm and Clarity Technologies and is an Observer on the Board of Directors of Ziptronix and Aura Communications. In addition, Mr. Mannetti sits on the Board of Advisors of the Engineering School and the Bard Center for Entrepreneurship, both at the University of Colorado. He is involved in various community activities including, serving as the past Denver Area Chairman at the Friends of Scouting Campaign, Boy Scout of America; a Director of the Qwest Foundation; and a Board Member at CTIA.
