Specifications

Scrap submarine cable.

Material is tar coated high manganese steel wire wrapped in single strands over lead sheathing. Steel approx 42 % by weight. Lead sheathing has a coating of tar. Lead content approx 37 % by weight Pb. Copper stranding of single wire strands with approx 4-5 % paper insulation layered within. Copper content approx 10 % by weight. Balance of the cable is tar, paper.



Anticipated production of approx 2,000 tons per month beginning Dec 2010.
