You would be very surprised at the restrictions that are placed on most employees of trading / financial / investment houses.
I have family members who work in the information technology department for a very large investment firm. (JPM) Employees are restricted in all sorts of ways, even down to the brokers they are allowed to place their own personal trades with.
It is not a very big jump in logic to see that dealing in microcaps and giving financial advice is a possible conflict in interest. I'll bet he transferred his stock to his brother or another family member to avoid any appearance of impropriety.
Read his posts. Look at those around #11630. You will see your speculation is far from his stated position.
