Oh yes, indeed. Bought a new 4X4 Pickup, cash money, a new Remington 1100 12 gauge, a boat, and then a new washer and dryer (had to get the wife something special, right? Probably why she wasn't my wife very long afterward! LOL)

Still had "a lot" of money left.

I still remember walking out of the post finance office, with $10K (minus taxes) in crisp new $20 bills in my pockets ... I imagine it was the first time in my life I'd ever had over a couple of hundred cash on me at the same time ...

The finance officer asked me if I wanted an armed guard to accompany me to the bank ... in case someone tried to rob me. I still recall my answer .. "Let 'em try L-T" ..
