Mobile operator 3 has hit a new milestone, most recently pointing to its 30 millionth music-related transaction. The figure covers a wide range of products, including streaming music videos, downloadable songs, master ringtones and ringbacks. 3 is steadily broadening its global imprint, with the company pulling the data from services across Australia, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Sweden, Thailand and the UK. The 3G-focused company has content deals with all four majors, along with a long list of independents. 3 Hong Kong pointed to 2 million transactions, with the company spinning several pre-release exclusives, terrestrial radio promotions, and broadcasts of concerts and awards shows.
