MF4: I think 1270 is the minimum and 1305 the upper end of the range we are likely to hit before the next big tumble. Once the next downturn happens it will probably extend until the end of the year and take out the 1000 level on the S&P at least. Due to the Fed's interventions last year the bear market was delayed by almost a year. Therefore the remainder of the downward move will be compressed. The drops will be deeper and will come along more quickly than would otherwise have been the case. But the drops will always be followed by brief strong rallies to keep the frogs in the pot. The Market doesn't want all the 401K investors to go to cash until its too late.
