what if a CEO offered free trading shares to promote, is that common as well?

what if is a hypothetical and cannot be realistically answered since none possible due to being a hypothetical.

Sort of like "what if" the CEO paid GOSY to work there due to his satisfaction of the work? The phrase "what if" is a hypothetical.
