After market ask and bids are nothing to pay attention to. Pre market and when the market is open are the prices to pay attention to. Some people put in orders and leave them open for days hoping they will get filled (buy or sell). Just means there is a seller hoping this thing will go up that high one day or even find someone dumb enough to buy at that price (asking price) and there is a buyer hoping someone will sell to him at that price (bid). All my stocks do this after the market is closed.
