In Mexico, three of them lived in the rock fence behind my house. One large, two teeny tiny ones. They never got any bigger. They'd sing their little songs, scamper quick as lightening and sun themselves on the rocks.
I had quite a collection of wild critters and birds, beautiful ones. I was the only one to take their needs into consideration. I had hummingbird feeders, grew millet and sunflowers for seed. I kept a list of all the kinds of birds I saw. Most I had never seen before living there. They would sing pretty often. Got pretty extensive, the list including Trogans. Gorgeous! Even had some migrators from the north. In addition, I had brightly colored rock lizards, and big ass vultures. But mostly I pampered my bluebirds and chipmunks. The bluebirds had a box about 6' from where most guests hung out. I have some real stories about those critters. My bluebirds got very famous in some circles, as local postcards were printed up about them and they were often the subject of traveler's articles who visited me at what was called the "famous blue table and chairs".
