What you seem to have great difficulty in understanding is that it is fashion that is expensive..not the material..there are cheap silk shirts and there are expensive ones..often times the only difference between the two is the label...you can buy $300 cotton shirts or $20 cotton shirts....unless spider silk is going to bring something to the table that's unique, it isn't going to revolutionize the garment industry..it's just going to be another fiber to make a shirt out of...the only thing that spider silk had going for it was that it supposedly would wear longer than most other fabrics...but I doubt anyone really cares about that...spider silk should sell but I don't see it as any kind of blockbuster in the garment industry..and that was where the money would be
