As I recall, when zinc fingers became available there was a decision made to focus on that product as it would be a significantly more viable commercial product.
Remember, the gene manipulation was only the first step. Success comes when the animals pass on these new traits to their offspring. My understanding is that we are there and at this point those worms are breeding, breeding, breeding. When there is enough stock to produce a commercial product, then we will have a commercial product.
But I think I had heard that, besides donating some material to that artist, most of the stuff being manufactured right now is being sent out for testing - and I think some of it may be being done by private companies that are VERY interested in KBLB -
Remember Kim has repeatedly said that; if he's keeping silent there is a reason (I'm paraphrasing). Some posters here seem to think that if Kim isn’t telling them what he’s doing, then he must not be doing anything. That is just not the case.
Also, almost every post I read has incorrect information / understanding about KBLB’s relationship with Calm Seas- My understanding is that under the “new” accounting system of the SEC KBLB has to disclose all potential payments to Calm Seas that could be made IF all credit was used etc. Which means that it may look like they’ve given away tons of stock when they have not and it will never happen. So it looks like Calm Seas has received HUGE amounts of stock that they have not and never will – research the new accounting system – if you have the stomach for it – it’s crazy and it’s virtually impossible to understand.
