I was told to invest in the dinar, and that it was safe, because although the upside was huge, the downside risk is minimal.....Well, I went to a couple banks, and found out I couldn't invest in the dinar, as no banks will do the exchange, and even if you bought some over the internet, the banks wouldn't buy them from you.

The value is dependent upon many variables, even the wear and the look of the dinar note itself will devalue it, that from the internet exchange places that are promoting it. If you buy some, you are dependent upon whatever they send, and when you sell it, you are dependent upon what they decide to see when you send it to them. That kind of subjective transaction sounds unsafe to me.
