My thanks to ResellerMike for drawing me a picture and showing me the error of my bullheaded ways. The picture made it clear that there really is parallel processing, rather than simple linear processing, happening with the addition of the pre-melt system.

I would, however, like to take credit for yesterday's techisbest rally after it became clear that the pre-melt system will indeed increase the throughput of the system.

Now if we could just get to see that final configuration, along with its performance numbers, that will be used for the RockTenn land rush...
