well i suppose thats one way to look at it...but my clothes already last me a long time..mainly because i buy clothes once or twice a year...and i buy a few shirts, pants and shoes and what not each time...that keeps me from having to wear "timeless" clothes and looking constantly out of date...

take jeans for instance...if you wear the same pair once a week, they will last you years!...how much longer do you really need them to last!...would i pay twice as much for a pair of jeans that will last me twice as long?...i highly doubt it..what for?..

i dont need shirts that will last me 10 years...and i dont think the garment industry wants to sell me shirts that last 10 years...after a few years of use i give a few older clothes away to goodwill or salvation army and buy new ones...they are still in decent shape but the fact is i dont want them anymore for whatever reason...

and if anyone would care to check with their wife, im pretty sure she doesnt want you keeping your underwear for 10 years either...even there are no holes in them..

im not sure if high end cares about clothing that lasts 10 years...why would they?...a wedding dress that will last an eternity?..why?..a cocktail dress that they wont want to wear more than twice a year anyway?...it needs to last 10 years?..it already does...
