So theoretically (of course) If there were a group positioning itself with a very large short position and anticipating to do their magic at he first sign of any news what could a company do to keep their PPS stable? News, trades, share structure?

No need to hear from any of the beat down boys here, and please don't insult my knowledge, I am just throwing out a theoretical question regarding KATX, no different from any other financial opinion good or bad.
