Its a little known fact that sprint first started
its wireless service in fresno california, then sprint spun
off an "independend" company that exclusively used sprint
pcs service, then sprint steped in again...
the problem is that the subsidiaries keep some kind of hold
on their licensing agreements and have to because countries
are very protective of their licenses as we all recall a
number of big telco mergers have at one time or another
have been postponed or forbiden because of the FCC and
national security...same holds true for smaller companies/

but once profitable america movil steped in, however i would
not be suprised if even though it started "independently"
the same investor groups behind america movil also gave
