Just for informational purposes: The most correct form of the past tense of "plead" is "pled." not "pleaded." Unless the act of pleading was an emotionally charged one; as in she "pleaded (begged) for mercy." The root word, of course is "plea," which connotes an emotion filled request. It has become more politically correct to use pleaded instead of pled. But this old English minor, and his English Professor daughter, favor the more correct use of the language.
