I'm surprised anyone is giving him credit. You have a great chance of being right predicating ANY stock to go down. I had an argument on-line about GOOG and I stated they would go down and the time is right to short (this is when they were about to top 300) and listed my views. Well I got a lot of credit since they are dropping like a rock right now. Of course my points were valid but my 6 year old could tell you stocks are going to go down. Ic ould have randomaly picked PG, MSFT, SLE (Which is killing me) etc.

I'm going to be really brief with these points put it shows that any stock especially risk are going to take a hit.

1) We are looking at a poor market right now. I've seen it best described as enemic. Sure you can still find good performers but not many. I take comfort in knowing I have a large portion of Dividend stocks and precious metal to offset this.

2) We can't cover the trade gap. We fell short again by 10 billion. I personally am looking at oversea companies and moving some of my assets.

3) The price of oil is up. Oil has hit 56 a barrel and the blame is being put on US refinaries. Opec is letting people know they are pumping at capacity. True or not I don't know. But it will hurt the market.

4) The dollar is not doing well. Even though the Euro hit a 9 month low. You still see this worrying people.

5) People are getting ready to see a housing slow down. Remember all the econmic numbers effect the market and cause movement.

6) We fell short of several key econmic indicators. THis doesn not many things are not goign well just that we did not meet expectiations. This will put the Bulls up quickly.

So many more factors i can't cover them all.

Now think about it. If your an investor and having to determine which stocks to move into better value do you keep your Large cap dividend stocks and release the risky stocks or do you drop your Large caps.

Personally I am currently

1) Moving risk stocks to other markets
2) Shorting obvious companies such as GOOG
3) Moving assets to precious metals
