In a briefing after the two leaders’ meeting and the signing ceremonies, Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda said it was Aquino who raised the Spratlys issue. The discussion lasted about five minutes including the translation.

if this was all about the issue...5 minutes..its very discouraging......... if this was just the opening discussion and he gets to talk further on it and make headway maybe there will be some progress..........

chino petroleum didnt get permission to do the spratlys with the philipines from Chinese govt.......so did they not ask the govt. beforehand?.are they just waiting for their permit to be accepted by china with previous knowledge that it would or are they just as retarded as the chino govt? yes i know they make profits but even autistic people have certain gifts.

He also said the Philippines is not building any new structures in the West Philippine Sea and that the Aquino administration’s decision to purchase a Hamilton class cutter was only meant to boost Manila’s ability to patrol its territorial waters

why not put infrastructure on the reed/recto bank??its yours isnt it? what the hell, one day they say whats theirs is theirs and they are moving forward.....and then the next day he says they arent building anything new........how are they going to drill sc72 with that initiative? is it poker or has he turned chicken?
this continues to be frustrating when you read these effing contradictory remarks. the only consolation is cebu so far.

it seems like we are just running in place.....or as if we are moving just one inch per year and its painful to watch/read.
