Do you think it might be just a AMERITRADE clearing issue. Sec has the flagging rule thats been in place for a while when several trades made within a few days on a specific a broker has the right to flag that trader and allow sells only.
I think Ameritrade is so huge rather than individual restrictions that just place stock on buy restriction, lift it after clearings take place. They just sort of bend the rule to fit them.
Not an issue at Etrade at this point, might change, but so far ok with them.
