Watched the video, Randy was pretty stale on air. It's odd because watching him on the other special he seemed pretty comfortable in front of the camera. Maybe he was put off by an audio delay and that's why he seemed so reserved.

I really don't know where the art comes into play here, at all. In all intensive purposes your putting a uncommonly used substance with skin cells in a matrix to test its durability vs. a bullet. I am missing the art part. She didnt even paint it a different color, she didnt create a full futursitic mock up of a future human and placed the skin peice on it to shoot at. She didnt put the swatch on something that made a political statement when she shot at it. She just created a patch out of materials and shot at it. Art is not the description for that, and yet art can be the description for everything/anything. And as Zinc said it was kind of a poor project. Randy on his own should be doing these kinds of things with his spider goat project. He's had plenty of time to. It baffles me that a bio/artist from another country has to frame this as an art project in someway and Randy says okay lemme give you some spidersilk (by the way, he couldnt come up with enough silk himself to use so a transgenic silkworm enters the picture to supply the rest of the material for the project)but the oddest thing is how it's kept relatively quiet about where that transgenic silkworm silk came from and how it's just thrown in there without any other info in the articles. (Of course I'm just making up what Randy would say, but NO ONE ASKS OR MENTIONS WHERE THE OTHER SILK THEY USE FOR THE "ART PROJECT" COMES FROM.)
So Randy you have been working with goats to make silk huh? Randy says, Yeah. But you couldnt get enough silk from your goats milk, so how did you get around that? Randy: I just had some spider silk make from transgenic silkworms laying around.

It has to be on purpose that they don't mention KBLB. They are using this project as a quiet slant in testing KLABS silk as to how it bonds to human skin and it's potential durability against projectiles. I know Randy is a part of KLABS and not a competitor so this IMO has to be a quiet little "bio/art" project between him and Kim.

GO KBLB.
All this is my crazy speculation.

Also Kim has till around November 10th to put in his SOU to the trademark office for his trademarks on "Spilk","MonsterSilk" etc. That's just a little over 2 months left.
