On the eve of the the 2011 college football season, The Clarion-Ledger asked 12 Southeastern Conference beat writers a few questions concerning the upcoming season.

One beat writer covering each school in the SEC provided their picks in the SEC’s Eastern and Western Divisions, and this year’s SEC Championship game.The poll also includes a few superlatives: Which team has the best coaching staff? Will the SEC win a sixth straight BCS national championship? Which team is doomed for an upset? And just who is the best player in the conference?
