i can think of all sorts of possible reasons. he's a crook, or he's broke, or he was "bought off", or he has been told by lawyers to forget it, or he's lazy and incompetent. etc.

the only thing that matters is nobody would walk away from a "slam dunk" opportunity like this if things were really as they have been portrayed by megass.imo
