It is my understanding that a company would need to increase the AS before they could do a foward split. There would have to be enough authorized shares to accomidate the share count after the split. (Correct me if I am wrong, but this is my understanding.)

I have found that other companies have increased the AS to accomodate a forward split. Here is an example: http://nanotechwire.com/news.asp?nid=665

I am not saying that MMTC is going to do a forward split any time soon, but in theory this would make sense. If they expect a huge run on the pps they may be setting the stage to be able to performa a forward split. At least that would be among the options from increasing the AS as I understand it.

Options after increasing the AS:

- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Forward split
- Raise capital (dillution)
- other?

just my opinions.

Again, increasing the AS in neither good nor bad. It just depends on what they do with it.
