Seems like this is a shot across the bow by the US towards China. I don't disagree that the yuan is artificially low, but letting it float freely isn't in the cards for quite a while. Perhaps China will start to let it rise a bit by next year, but I think this tariff proposal is really counter-productive. Doesn't anyone remember one of the primary causes of the Great Depression?
