Mojo you have no clue. Two words for you LIGHTER and STRONGER. I work as an Engineer the U.S. Defense Industry and believe me weight reduction for our troops is always the top specification of any product we design for the military and of utmost importance. Being over weight is unacceptable and the product has to be redesigned to meet the weight requirements. Everyone will not be able to afford to upgrade (like most police departments in small town america), but the US military has deep pockets and will surely buy new vests if the opportunity arose.
