A local market in Baton Rouge carries LUSI products.
Every time I’m in the market, I walk by the LUSI rack to see if any products have been sold but only a few packages have disappeared since the first of the year! Why haven’t people in south Louisiana bought LUSI products?
Display – In this local market, LUSI products are hung on a rack behind a large pole. Why not on the shelf with all of the other Louisiana products? I had to look several times to locate the LUSI products, extremely poor marketing. LUSI should have done their research on how to market products. Hint, don’t hide product behind poles!
Packaging – I though about trying one of LSUI products but was never sure what was in the package due to extremely poor labeling. Other manufactures label their products so that when a shopper walks down the isle, they can easily read the label. LSUI products are in black bags with the small colorful labels on the front. After picking up several bag and not sure what was in the package, I gave up and headed for my favorite Louisiana food sections. See the labels at top of this site, what product is in the first label? Again, LUSI should have done their research on how to market products, branding is very important.
Price – LUSI products are price higher than the most popular Louisiana products enjoyed by people in the south. Some LUSI products are 2-3 times more than the competitors. Once again, LUSI should have done their research to be competitive with the most popular products. Have they priced themselves out of the market?
Quality – I haven’t tried any of the products, but the few bags that disappeared from the local market must not have impressed the buyers. The rack is still practically full and appears nobody came back for seconds. And once again, did LUSI do their research and put a good tasting product on the shelf…correction, on the rack behind the pole.
Why can't this local market sell LSUI products,don't people in south Louisiana like LUSI products?
Appears management is putting very little effort in selling product and all efforts in sell stock. Why?
