Its just immoral to me. Borrowing shares to sell and then buying them at a later date, hopefully at a lower pps. Many times the shares are borrowed from existing shareholders. You can see the paradigm here.

Its counter intuitive to what 'investing' really is and often times hurts legitimate companies and consequently their investors.

Just my opinion. Everyone has a different moral compass. :)
