Mide, Who's tail is wagging the dog?

LOL! Thought that was a humorous line to lead off with.

I don't disagree with you on your opinion of these message boards and I really don't give too much credibility to them. Afterall, your acessment (like mine) is probably based on common sense, praticality and experience. However, there was an occurance on the RB board that took place about 1 or 2 weeks before the move to the AMEX that you and a lot of others may not be aware of. For 3 days, there was a Marketmaker who was "interacting" with posters on RB. Believe me, if I had not witnessed this and even participated myself, I would be the first to call "bullsheite". For 3 days, posters would ask questions and post numbers for a yes or no, and within seconds, that number would come across the T&S. It was not coincidence, it was fact. Then one of the posters stated that he had reported this to the SEC, and it stopped.

I agree that these boards are reactive and not proactive, but I submit to you that they are "polls". Just like political polls, they may be a small sampling of the voting public, like 1000 people out of 200 million voters, but percentage wise, it is often quite close. I know that if I were a MM, I'd pay attention to this board.

I've read all of the posts here since Jan., and you are one who brings common sense, practicality, and good experience to this board and you are certainly worthy of being heard. I'm sure that the MM's don't look at this or any other board for "guidance", but they do moniter it. From that, they can plan their own course of action, and that usually doesn't help us.

Thanks for your response. I appreciate it.
