im not sure what the big issue is with kevlar and its flexibility...you guys make it sound like kevlar has terrible flexibility...its flexibility is actually fine...

if you start putting shock plates and stuff all over it then yea that reduces its flexibility a bit...and if you want it to stop 7.62 rounds without so much as a slight bruise then yea, you are going to have to make the vest thick as heck and that will reduce its flexibility...

but if you want a vest that will stop most rounds and allow you to survive, the vest can be more than flexible enough and light weight..

and if you have to use as much spider silk to make a vest as you do kevlar, then i doubt the flexibility will differ much fom one to the other....maybe spider silk will be a bit more flexible, i dont know...but i doubt it will matter that much and i doubt anyone will pay more or switch over for the difference..
