Yah, "not" doesnt quite know what he is talking about. In this same situation if toby didnt email, "not" would have said he doesnt care about investors. He just turns things in ways to make it seem bad. Anyway, I think that toby is replying because something is going to happen and news is coming. Otherwise it would not have made sense to suddenly start talking to investors, they could have just kept quiet.
