This is true, as a Restraunt owner, I'm usually approached by my food and beverage vender about new products. If a product is really on fire the sales person will suggest it, if it is marginal product he won't even bring it up, unless there is a in house sales promo. Also if one were to put a BIB product on line he would usually have to remove a product to Make room. Now take the compatability of the product to either coke or pepsi hook up. The BIB boxes have to be manufactured to specific company specs, unless they have there own dispensing device which would not be startup cost effective! There is alot more involved than just selling a pallet of sugar water. And in these economic times establishments buy one BIB at a time because they last a while and they cannot Afford to sit on $80 to $100 dollar boxes of tea. Miracles do happen but I've been in Restraunt biz for over 20 years and I can't recall any.
