Paramount’s Cowboys & Aliens, the sci/fi-western hybrid costarring Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, maintained its low box office profile overseas with an $8.1 million weekend at 2,376 locations in 22 territories. Accumulated foreign gross since Aug. 9 came to $18 million. A No. 4 U.K. premier generated $3 million from 476 venues while an Australia debut provided $2.2 million from 229 sites.
Oh well... so C&A is not the greatest movie out there and once again the Smurfs beat us out. Luckily we sold the rights to the movie and were not about to make any revenue from box office receipts. So Platinum Studios has 2 movies out so far and at least we can say they are getting better. The movie business is tough, there are no sure winners. What does all this mean for us?
1. Well PDOS is close to its all time 52-week low so it really cannot go that much lower.
2. For a small comic book company to get two of its properties on the silver screen, that is amazing.
3. We have other projects coming out...
4. Hold LONG...
5. Buy now to average down your PPS.
6. Our day will come -- you just have to be patient.
7. Time to watch True Blood on HBO.
8. Yeah, a disappointing weekend, but heck, can't win them all.
9. Our focus has to be on paying off our debt and getting past this upcoming dilution.
10. We will see better days...patience...
