What your are overlooking is that when speaking on the phone personnel can judge the caller by the callers responses to their responses and get a feel for whether the caller is worth spending time on. The posters here who've had long conversations with PR and others have been very reasonable (as judged by their overall postings) whereas others who've had less success have usually been otherwise, IMHO.

They also can read an email and often do not respond if the tone and wording of the email indicate in their judgement it's not worth the time. If you send an email with "have you quit beating your wife yet?" type questions you are unlikely to get a response. I would suggest that you re read the emails to which you did not get a response and ask yourself two questions:

"If I were in their position and received this email worded as it is, would I respond to it?"

and "If I were in their position would I consider this to be a question to which a response is merited?" Note that companies withhold some types of information (especially details on exactly what they are doing, when they are doing it and exactly how they are going about it ESPECIALLY any deals under negotiations.) If they feel someone is askly clearly unreasonable questions they may just ignore it.

Lack of a response may be due more to the nature of a particular email than to the companies policy.

I would never make a judgement about a company based on the lack of response to an email without seeing the ENTIRE and UNEDITED email (and even then I'd have to judge the honesty of the person claiming to have sent it. '

PS you said you were learning about the market by studying a bunch of Jim Cramer's books. I would strongly suggest you look at this video of him:

You might want to reconsider your apparent heavy reliance on him as a source.
