I think the re-fi and real estate boom is about done - how much lower can rates go?? And the homeowner is mortgaged up to the hilt against inflated values for his home. "Big Al" is going to have to find another horse to ride and I don't see one other than reinflating the balloon bubble of the stock market. Just reading through his various pronouncements and musings (and those of the other Fed members), I believe they have all come to the same conclusion - I don't think he can do it and I am terrified by the thought as to the long term ramifications, but I will give him an "A" for effort so far.
