then why did we have all kinds of DD on Renfro Energy and trying to count the barrels they own?

No I don't agree. I believe the filing that says Renfro Holdings was hired to find acquisitions for Brazos. The agreement of the shares and change of control had nothing to do with Renfro Energy. Renfro Energy was simply a possible acquisition of interest which required a payment of cash.
